What would you choose? No extra questions..just you can only choose 1 of the below configurations.

1x8
2x8
1x10
2x10
1x8 1x10
1x10 1x12
1x12 1x8
1x12

Edit: added 1x12 :)

good question. I'm interested to see the answers. I wonder if there'll be many. I think to have an opinion worth much you'd have to try them all and I've only tried 3 of those, none of which I liked as much as a 1x12", which is not an option.
So my not-much-value opinion is that of 1x8", 2x8" and 1x10" I prefer 1x10", but 1x12" is better than 1x10" imho.

Depends on the Amp,but i think a 2x10 is good all rounder
I have just built a 1x12-1x8 cab for my Quiter 45 pedal when i get it(mainly 'cos that's the speakers i already have)

I would go with 1 - 12" speaker, even though I often have used 1 - 10" speaker successfully.

Sometimes you need to move more air. On rare occasions I might use a cab with 2 - 10s or 10" and 12", though I have one with a 10" and a 12" that just sits in a corner these days. I don't play venues that a 12" can't handle, and I don't want to drag around the extra bulk and weight if it isn't required.

Like Indigo said, depends on the amp. Also the venue size & acoustics. For day-to-day I have a 17 watt Masco amp I like a 1x10 + 2x8 cab. Not too much weight to lug around; loud enough or can be mic'd; and the tonal variance of alnico & ceramic, smooth & ribbed cones.

i have a 1 10 ext. cab. it has a vintage p10Q reconed speaker.
i took the cab to line X bedliners and had it sprayed, it came out great.

the speaker is 8 ohms it works but i think i like the 8 inch speaker better.
as it is at 4 ohms. it has that certain "vintage champ vibe"

@1847 I also have used the spray on tolex method. The rocker guard spray from your local auto parts store works great. On some amps I have used it as a touch up to hide places where the tolex is missing. On another amp I had to make a new back...I sprayed the new part and you can't tell the spray from the original tolex.

I built my own cab using 1-12" Canabis Rex and 1-10" Lil Buddy.

I'm using a Quilter 101 amp.

Here is my current setup:
Bulletini, Harp Shield, A/B box, A goes to Quilter to speakers. B goes to Harp Break to Di box to PA.

I got the speaker idea's from reading the posts here.
Thanks to everyone who shares info here.
