I think everybody within a day's drive of Clarksdale needs to drive on down, up, or sideways to this thing. Saturday, May 27, 2017. Pretty amazing lineup:

Riding up from Florida. Two days to get there. Have my motel reservation with Zee at the Riverside Hotel then Monday night at the Shack up inn. I love the Riverside, All the history, walk to downtown Clarkesdale and they treat everyone like family.

@Littoral I am in the Jacksonville area. Get over to your neck of the woods when I go to the BBC in Tallahassee. I am a hobby player, no gigs. Only been playing for 3 to 4 years. Monthly I go to New Smyrna Beach for the local Harp Group. Retired, have time to "follow the Blues"

I hope to make the trip.
I went to Clarksdale a couple of weeks ago. I saw Deak perform at Ground Zero, and went to his shop the next day. He worked on one of my harmonicas, and then got busy on a batch of the custom Marine Bands that he makes. I hung around for a couple of hours, looking at his collection. He is a nice guy, he spoke of the times he had with James Cotton, and let me in on some of the secrets to his unique sound.
