A friend of mine plays the chromatic- a Suzuki 64 and has gotten pretty good at it. He asked me if I knew anyone that did customizing work for chromatic harmonica so he could up his game- the only one Im aware of is Brendan Power but he only does custom combs for the chromatic- not any actual customizing on the Harmonica itself.
I thought about letting him watch the hot rod harmonica dvd set I got from Richard but remembered that Suzuki had bronze reed plates not brass like Hohner.
Do the same kind of techniques apply for customizing chromatics. along with the materials.
I would think that different reed materials would require different tools. Does anyone have any help for me here.
Is there anyone out there that does Chromatic work- Making them bend easier etc. I want to steer him in the right direction
Thank you
Danny G

There's also Steve Malerbi, an independent tech in northern California who works on chromatics for some high profile pro players. You can email him as harpsurgeon-at-hotmail.com

If it is not a warranty issue (and I doubt that customization is), better to contact me at the email address on my account here--just click my name.
Steve usually has a wait, but lately so do I--have a lot of work piled up here at home.

I don't know where you live, but I am very good at customizing Chromatics!
