A little impromptu tribute to James Cotton last night at the birthday gig of harp player Mike Crandall.
Shawn Leonard, Ray Romano, Mike Law, Ryan Hartt
A little sloppy but not bad for four guys that had never played together.

Sounds great Ryan. One day I have to get back up to Connecticut and jam with you. Or get you down to Long Island to jam with my band.

Ryan: your playing sounds great there and very true to the spirit of Cotton!
At the same time, I felt like that drummer was dominating the acoustic space, going crazy on the ride and crash cymbals. This tune could have benefitted greatly from some subtlety on drums...oh well, that's a common complaint of mine.
