Another great track by The Beatles, this one off the Abbey Road Album. I'm playing a Special 20 in Bb with a improv. solo around the middle of the song.
I'm really liking these Beatles renditions. Cool stuff, Grey Owl.
CCR's stuff can be a real kick too. Quite a few of their classics translate really well into 2nd pos. ("Down on the Corner" is a gas . . . especially the intro.)
I couldn't hang in much passed the intro. That hand waa effect on almost every erything gives me the bends. And the mix is a bit bizarre, give me instant ear fatigue. ----------
Very cool! And from a teaching standpoint, this would be an excellent tune to use for practicing and strengthening the 3 draw half and whole step bends.
Hey Grey Owl - you've done another fine job on a Beatles cut. As this is your 2nd or 3rd posted Beatles song, I'm curious: are you working your way thru the book called Beatles Greatest Hits For Harmonica? IMO it's a well presented selection of tabbed songs, and would be quite a cool structured way to improve. Think I'll set aside an hour a day to to the same - thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Sundancer. I don't know that book. I'm a big Beatles fan and have found it fun to figure out some of their songs. I've put around 9 of their songs on YouTube over the years some of which I'm not that happy with but it's been good practice.
