Hey guys, I'm new here. I've only recently started playing but I'm picking up pretty quick.

I'm trying to learn Neil Youngs Natural Beauty for the harp but had no luck finding tabs or sheet music anywhere. I only managed to come across a tab for the actual harmonica parts of the song, but I'm interested in playing the melody from the lyrics.

What is my best bet for figuring out the notes he is singing? I'm not very good at picking up notes by ear.

A few routes you can go, but really the best answer is you need to work on figuring the notes out by ear. The best is probably sitting there and tabbing it out for yourself. Get something like the Amazing Slow Downer software so you can play the song back slowly. Melodies repeat a lot, so really you only need to get a bit and it will start to fall into place. Just play along slowly with the right key harp.

Alternately, you can use sheet music or other instrument tab and a harmonica layout sheet for the right key harp to figure out what holes to play. That can be slow going, but it will at the very least give you the chord structure.

Really the gold standard though is learning by ear though. I'd try it with a G harp.
