Hey Modern Blues Ferrets! Thank you for all the attention and lively discussions, debates and information. Being part of this forum is a huge part of my internet life and I thank you all for being here for this music and instrument!

2017 has been an amazing year already! Getting Nominated in the 2017 "Best Harmonica" category for the Blues Music Awards by the Blues Foundation is always an honor and although I love ALL the other nominees I kinda hope you vote for me... Meow! Also just getting off the road with Mark Hummel (also nominated!), Duke Robillard, Wes Starr, Howard Levy, Corky Siegal, Son Of Dave and Richard W. Grigsby(BMA nominee) has me floating on air still. The work I've been doing for The Lone Wolf Blues Company and Randy Landry has some exciting new products out and I'll be using them ALL on the road so come holler at me before the gig or during soundcheck. Additionally I'll be rocking those Suzuki Blue Moon Harmonicas by Tom Halchak and Tom just sent me some secret prototype creations that are going to shake the harp world up!!

The dates below are our "Eller Soul Signing" Record Deal Tour Jason Ricci and The Bad Kind are on our way to record my first solo record in 8 years! We're gonna play a lot of towns before and after the recording and we hope to see you all there. Please share these dates anywhere and everywhere you think your friends might be! A Moon Cat love and appreciate all yall!

Killa, pretty sure I've heard Derek talking about going a few times, even just this past weekend at the jam. If I see yas there I'll say hi. I originally was planning to go to River City Blues Club the day after before I saw that St Georges was closer, that 30-45mins each way makes a huge difference on a work night. I like the smaller space too, I've seen Jason in a bunch of different sized rooms. There was something special about the library barn whatever place (Arden Gild Hall) in DE we seen him with JJ Appleton & The Suitcase Junket. Right now I'm a little bummed out I missed the Steve Guyger & Dennis Gruenling gig in Trenton last night gotta pay more attention. Maybe sometime we'll hit the same Derek gig.

----Thanks guys! Be sure and tell me your screen names from this forum at the show when you see me. Couple of things: 1.) The Omaha date at The 21st Saloon has been MOVED to the CHROME LOUNGE also in Omaha. And: 2.) There will be a small intimate harmonica clinic at "The Spot" at 3:30 the same day as the show 2/18. Info can be found on facebook on any of my pages. Thanks guys-J

See you in Harrisburg, Jason! Thanks so much for bringing your inspiration to Central Pa. Let's hope this opens the door to harp enthusiasts of the area coming together, and getting organized enough to draw more of our heroes to perform and teach here. I'll do all I can to post notices of your upcoming performance in music shops and public places. Can't wait to see the new tools from Randy Landry and Tom Halchak, as well as the great mics from Greg Heumann. I'll send you an email so you can let me know when you will be doing your sound check. Thanks again, Jim

Saw Jason's show in Harrisburg. WOW, what a show! What a nice guy too. For an amateur blues harp enthusiast to be able to talk with one of his heroes, check out his gear and setup, and then be blown away by such an incredible performance, is the ultimate in inspiration and encouragement to keep on learning and practicing. Also got to meet some equally nice local harp players. Thank you so much to Jason, Adam, and all harp players who foster this spirit of camaraderie, which helps raise up the skills of those who aspire to follow in their footsteps. BRAVO!

Drove up from Hagerstown, MD for the Harrisburg, PA show. My first time seeing Jason and I was quite impressed. I'll definitely be back for more. Nice club there too.
Garlic Breath - I was one of the old grey-bearded guys sitting near the front with the red-head that was really enjoying the music. Sorry we didn't meet you.

Fil, I live near Fredericksburg, a place so rural the zip code is EIEIO. Bilzharp, I was the guy with the black and white bowling shirt, talking to every harp player I could identify. My wife ( cute Asian woman), and I were sitting near the front, to the left. Sorry I didn't get to talk to you. I got business cards from two local players, and Jason's friend from Pittsburgh, who got up and played a solo. We'll all have to network. jimthegarlicman@gmail.com
