I dug an old video out of the closet and found some great music that has never seen the light of day. Willie Pierce is close to a non-entity, internationally speaking, although I'm sure he was a major player in the Albany NY blues scene. I don't believe he has any recordings for sale in the digital age. The late Ernie Williams, a somewhat bigger legend, was his mentor, which explains the sort-of joke up front in this video. Both should be much better known, internationally, than they are. They are bluesmen. (So is Charlie Hilbert.) I'm a blues musician. There's a difference. Woe to all who don't get it.
The song is Willie's composition. It was recorded in 1999 in the Albany Public Library.
I'm playing a C harp in third. This is a pretty addictive groove.
