There used to be a website that had a tool that would let you enter in your harmonica key and the scale and position you wanted to play and it would give you a chart telling you the notes and where to find them. I've lost it from my favorites and can't seem to find it on google. Anybody here have a link to a harmonica scale calculating tool.

Not sure. Harp ninja would do that for you but I got mine at office works. Spiral bound, 295 x 210 mm ruled feint.
After a while I didn't need it much

Here is one I wrote for Excel. Richter Spreadsheet
I'm sure there are better ones out there but this one sets the notes for the holes when you pick the key, then grays out the notes that are not in the selected mode, leaving only the notes in that scale.

This will do it!

Which notes where?

Lots of tunings for the diatonic and chromatic harmonica, have fun!

Tinus accepts contributions, if you find this tool to be valuable.

STME58's works great. It never took off, but we were trying to build a harmonica wiki. I couldn't get it to embed right though. :(

The one Gnarly links to on overblow.com is great too. It's got a lot of built in alternate tunings.

Tinus' site is a great resource. Pat Missin deserves a lot of the credit, as Tinus acknowledges.

I dropped in on Pat about 10 days ago, at his rural hideaway in darkest south Ohio. His website is treasyre trove of harmonica and other free-reed knowledge:

Pat has put out some amazing resources. I have a copy of his instructional manual for the Bawu/Hulusi, which is about the only one available in English. If you are not familiar with these instruments check out Pat's site. Having developed breath control on the harmonica, these Asian diatonic free reeds are not too hard to get a good tone and a tune out of and are fun to play.
