It's been a long time since she has been active on the forum, but she was a member, and a great harp player. I've just found out that Big Nancy has passed.

That's sad news. I didn't know her but heard her playing from links on here and we did exchange comments a couple of times. :(

I remember playing on the same bill with her when she was playing with Bluesman Willie. She was a nice Lady and a good player.

Howzit Mark,Its funny you brought that show up.I was with Nancy and Sonny behind the stage that afternoon when B.B. was performing and as we were grooving I said to Nancy,Shake It Baby! Her reply ,"Its All Real Judge" .She will be missed but with her ailments in the yrs past she,s at peace and with her other half Danny.She was a kind hearted soul who did for many although she did,nt have for much and she did take her harpin very seriously,57 into the pa, a real no frills player.GodSpeed Big Nance

Awesome coincidence you were at the same show 25? years ago. I didn't talk to her but thought she was interesting as I never saw a really good female harp player till then. When all is said and done, most harp players are dudes. Anyway, When she was a member of MBH here I reminded her of the show and the red uniforms Sonny made them wear. She didn't care for the red cowboy shirts and black pants. heh, heh, I wouldn't either being as I was once in a country band where we had to wear blue Angel Flight vests and pants.
