Hi everyone,

this is the already announced lesson on the Tongue Blocking Blues I played in the video of me presenting the new Hohner Rocket Low.

Get out your G harmonica and have fun :)

All the best,
Konstantin

that is interesting you only open wide enough for 3 holes and block 2 out. I was taught to put 4 holes in the mouth and block 3 out.

Or were you just using the first 3 holes as an example? (so this would only involve 3 holes)?

Otherwise, why the narrower embouchure? I would think 4 holes = more harp in the mouth = bigger tone no?

Thanks Konstanin!

That's at least what I learned ;) Doesn't mean your approach is wrong.

I think more harp in the mouth = bigger tone isn't always right...

Maybe I should do a video on the development of my embouchure?

I prefer a 4-hole TB embouchure for the simple reason that it is easier to transition to octave splits.

The 3-hole embouchure always seemed limited and a bit odd to me. Maybe you can explain your take on its advantages over the 4-hole embouchure, Konstantin.

Thanks,

Michelle
