Blue Moon Combs are the best. All his Materials are great. Toms Very Accommodating Aswell. His combs really turn a manji into a beast of a harp.

Which material did you go with Gold?

I have quite a few myself. Everytime I buy new Manjis I Order more combs. I cant stand the Stock Manji Comb.

The Red Corian looks nice. Tom I want Dibs on one of the First Run of Red Corian Majis.

I was hesitant to try the Corian because so many people had told me that it was brittle and cracks. However I just ordered a few Corian Combs for 1847, Marine Band, and Manji. And I'll tell you what, I wish I had done it sooner. I love the Corian. The White Manji Corian Comb has like a flatter more square tine shape, which feels just great for TB. And they Sound Really Good.

I still Really Like the Hogany. I now have Hogany on both of my Bb Harps. My MB Deluxe and My Manji. Tom The Hogany pictures on the site Dont do it justice. The hogany looks like a Dark Rich Wood with Nice Grain Patterns. On the site they look Red which is not what they look like in person. The tines one the Hogany Combs are Rounded nicely Similar To the Marine Band Deluxe ot Crossover. I like this aswell for both TB and LP. It just depends what you prefer. I like all tine shapes aslong as there are no sharp edges. The Hogany Resonates Wonderfully. Its a Great Comb Material. Sound, Feel, Flatness, Looks .... Its got it all.

I have one Acrylic. Fancy Lava on a Crossover (A) ... They are very nice too, but personally I prefer one of the other two materials. The Acrylic has a good tine shape aswell. Rounded like the crossover stock comb. The acrylic is nice because it comes in so many colors so you could easily distinguish your Keys. And I think they will likely take a beating.

The thing I like about Toms combs is that once youve invested in them they will last through many harps.

I Have yet to try the Aluminium Combs. After the Promaster I was kind of disappointed with them. But after toms post in the promaster thread about how his are made, I think I'll give them a try. I just bought a Low Eb and Low F Manji from Rockin Rons. I notice a much brighter sound from the aluminium, so i think putting one on a Low F harp will really make it shine and bring out some of the higher harmonics of the notes.

Anyways Ive Blabbed Long Enough. Keep Up The Good Work Tom. #

Nothing i guess. I put the bamboo i took off of the crossover on a 1896. It plays good once you flat sand them. They are no where near as bad as the manji comb.

Wait till you see the all brass "Ultimate Golden Melody" Tom is making in Bb for me. Double reed plates, clear coated brass colored covers, and brass comb. He already made one in D for me, and it plays like a dream. Bright sound with beautiful responsiveness. He turns them from toy to treasured tool. If you love the Golden Melody as I do, you owe it to yourself to experience the improvements he can make to them.
