Hi everyone,

this a new project I'm part of. We go by the name "wyst" and play fully improvised live techno concerts! It's like free jazz and techno having a baby or something ;)

So this is some real live footage shit with all its flaws (!!)

Watch the whole thing and be rewarded :)

Best,
Konstantin

Well done, Techno needs instruments over the top and melody through, also you need to be young and danceable (I'm not:))

Very inventive and complex, excellent

That's great, thanks for your feedback!

It's a big experiment that especially lives out to it's full potential in a live situation. You will hear a lot more of this soon :)

I really dig it man.

Just freeballin here, but ... using loopers to be able to bring some of those effects and pieces back periodically could really tie it all together.

Also you could do more layering that way.

To take it one step further what If you had a dj who would control all your loops somehow and add further effects (fades, eq shifts, cool dj stuff) to your loops. Bring them in and out of the mix as your creating new ones. That would be pretty crazy to pull off, but if you could do it it would be killer. And Don't fool yourself everyone the turntables are an instrument. They are harder then they look. And alot more technical than just turntables these days.

Also to keep peoples attention you should mess with the time more. Bring it Down real slow .... bum .... bum .... bum. Then heavy drums, beat drop, boom. Type deal.

This is an awesome idea. I hope you guys take it somewhere great.

Try one of those Electro Hamonix B9 Organ machines.

Sorry I'm havin a crazy day. Maybe that was too much. Lol. But if you could pull off live techno for real, like club techno That would be incredible.

No offense. I liked it the way it was, but i just saw so much more potential in it. I thought ide share some ideas. I hope it didn't come off like that.

Thanks for the nice words!

The looper idea is important. The video above is always developing further but normally we bring things back by ourselves. We decided to not use any loopers. However, in fact we started out to work with a DJ that can manipulate/record us and bring loops back.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of producers and DJs but more live music should be happening in those locations.
