I listened from start to finish.....That was superb. He's squeezed every last ounce out of that diatonic. Fluent through high end to low end and lovely warmth in those low blow notes. A very evocative perfomance. Thanks.
HIs playing is absolutely beautiful! Thankyou Harpman Freeman. The pianist is remarkable to as she weaves in and out of his playing in such a timely fashion. She is terrific. I love this recording.
Hey Harpman.... I just cam across this posting. Thank you for spreading this out there. Very much appreciated. MM, , 2Chops, Owen and Grey Owl. Thank you so much for your kind words.
Very pretty song. See, everyone....the diatonic scale (do re mi fa sol la ti do) can be used to create beautiful melodies.
I notice the change of harmonica positions for that B section from 1st to 3rd.
Very clever use of the low octave on the major sections....I'd be curious to hear your inhale bending techniques down there some day, as this piece totally avoids them. ---------- The Iceman
Hey Larry , Long time no see! You busted me.... my excuse goes back to some of the most wonderful songs ever written are just 3 chords... below are some clips to more usual playing using the first octave of the instrument ( single note tongue blocker ) And thank you for being kind. .https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xudadZEBjbU
