Anyone used the small Quilter head? I've done some reading up on them and they sound impressive, but I wouldn't buy one without further research. Any info appreciated.

Yes exactly what I was talking about. Sure would beat lugging a big valve amp.

Musselwhite got one to try as an alternative to lugging a heavy amp when traveling. We tried it with a PA speaker, and through my Avenger cabinet. Didn't like the sound very much with his usual mics, but it sounded great with a Bulletini. It was a significant improvement that surprised both of us!

I recieved mine today. A small and quick test of Quilter 101 mini head for harmonica. I will record a more detailed review soon. It's just first 15 minutes of using :) I was hurrying to record it and test it before the gig in the evening :) I like it so much! I plug it into jensen p10r speaker.
