Fantastic!

Will this be on your next album or do we have to travel to Europe to hear it live?

Brendan, is that one of your half-valved CX-12s? Looks and sounds like it from here.

Whatever it is it you make it sound great!

I enjoyed that; thank you Brendan. Bravo! I have never before seen a capo used like that either.

@ Michelle:

Yes, it's a half-valved HohZuki CX-12 in PowerChromatic tuning. "HohZuki" because it has Suzuki SCX-48 reedplates inside.

I re-designed the slider with bigger holes and get it laser cut in stainless steel, then sand down to optimal thickness. This makes the instrument much more airtight and suitable for half-valving. The stock CX-12 slider is too thin, which makes it noisy and non-airtight.

@SuperBee: Yes, Tim is a wicked Capo Meister!

@ arzajac: I recorded a gypsy jazz version of Exhalaration on my MP3 album "PB and the Swingfellas", with Aussie guitarist Ian Date, double bass and cajon. If you're interested it's available for download at my website:

This is great. Particularly impressed by the understanding between you and the guitarist -- made for some lovely overlapping flourishes.
