A friend would like to sell me his 67' Blackface and I don't know how to set one up. Play through the Bass or Normal channel? Use the Deep switch.. Use the Bright switch? No tube changhes until I decide if I am going to buy it.
THANKS,
Hondo

What's the deal with the jack for "speaker and one for "ext. speaker"? And a "Ground" switch?

'What's the deal with the jack for "speaker and one for "ext. speaker"?'

Connect the "Speaker" output to your speaker. Tricky, eh?

'I don't know how to set one up. Play through the Bass or Normal channel? Use the Deep switch.. Use the Bright switch?'

Try them all possible combinations and see which you like. It shouldn't take much longer than it took to post these questions to find out.

Maybe I should have been a bit clearer. I am not an idiot timeistight. As your username goes, I didn't have much time when I posted this.
I did not want to do damage to someone elses amp by plugging in to the wrong jack and turning it on, eh?
Bassman amps have been around a long time and all the combinations have been tried. I saw no harm in asking about others research. It is obvious, even to me, that I could experiment and try all combinations.

Unless you plug run the amp without a speaker, you shouldn't be able to damage anything.
