I used to use Jim (Eugene) for cleaning and retuning, he is out of business. Is there anyone out there who does service and isn't overloaded with work? And reasonable rates?

Thanks,

Bob

Greg Jones is THE MAN. Check him out at 1623customharmonicas.com

Of course, he, like me, will be at SPAH all next week which might slow him down just a bit.

Just checked with him, he only does Seydel repair. I have SP20s and some Harpmasters. So still open for any suggestions.

Thanks,

Bob

Mr. Mike Peace does great work.
He can be reached at : mmpeace@cox.net
Really good guy..

Also, there is Harvey who is a member of this forum... cscharp@bellsouth.net

Both of these guys are in the U.S. and both have great reps..
Andrew who is a member of this forum does some of this work and is in Canada.

Hope this helps and thank you for reaching out...

actually...I think i read Andrew no longer does service and repairs, except on harps he built.

I service (clean, repair, adjust, problem-shoot, tune)them...but I'm in Australia.

I recently had some work done by SuperBee. Very good work, fair prices and clear, regular communication on progress.

Happy to recommend him to fellow Antipodeans.

Anyone know who can service a Hohner Chromonica 270? A windsaver needs replacing.

I considered doing it myself but could only find a bundle of 140 windsavers for $45.

I would much rather pay someone 45 bucks to fix it than buy 139 more windsavers than I need.

I do work on Hohner diatonics and chromatics.
At Detriot it is going to be more than $45.
You have no idea how good a 270 can play until you've had done by someone that knows what they are doing.
Your harp needs to have the comb sanded flat, sealed, the reeds could most likely be set better than they were from the factory, gapped and tuned.
Then new windsavers. It's more like $100, but so much better than any 270 you'll ever buy from a store!
@BeelzeBob I do Sp20's for $50.
