Oh my goodness, he's really good. Someone to listen to a lot more of. Thank you for telling me about him.

David is a pal, he dropped down a week ago and bought me lunch, no joke.
We didn't really jam, but we chatted up a storm--he brought our mutual friend Jon Kip, he plays on Coquette on this release . . .

I think I talked David into coming to SPAH for Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday--he's great company!

We've persuaded David to play at the SPAH convention once or twice in the past. He's a really happy guy, a lot of fun, and a great player, yet humble about it. And he does it all on a C chromatic, in sharp keys like D and A and E that most chromatic players shy away from.

Yes, he told me he used to be a Sonny Terry clone, took lessons from SB, but hasn't been wanting to play diatonic.
Winslow, I am hoping it will rub off LOL
Talk about arpeggios, he's got 'em down.

Adam should play in full band set up more often.

This feels rather counterintuitive, if you see what I mean.

My bad, I meant Sonny Terry
David took lessons from him in the 60's.
And he says that he sounds just like him!
