David is a pal, he dropped down a week ago and bought me lunch, no joke. We didn't really jam, but we chatted up a storm--he brought our mutual friend Jon Kip, he plays on Coquette on this release . . .
We've persuaded David to play at the SPAH convention once or twice in the past. He's a really happy guy, a lot of fun, and a great player, yet humble about it. And he does it all on a C chromatic, in sharp keys like D and A and E that most chromatic players shy away from. =========== Winslow
