If it's the same Richard Smith he was working on a stick on pickup for harmonica some years back.
No idea if this would sound like your usual harp.

Looks great... but would depend on the quality and cost of the 'cartridge'.

Would be better if you could fit your favourite existing harp.

The cartridge thing would be the turnoff for me. These guys have an internet presence going back a few years. I don't like a system that seems to be designed to lock you into their product line. From a marketing standpoint it seems like a choice between selling a few of them and then relying on revenue from people buying new cartridges or trying to be more mainstream and make it compatible with any harp. I'd be worried about committing to any system that tries to lock you in.

I have to say I don't like the mouthpiece of that thing anyway. I would not play one. Call me a dinosaur.
