Howdy!
I just got a spot in a local amp building class that is being taught by a local tech/business owner. He is a former Navy electronics expert who has been building some very cool guitar amps since his retirement. My plan is to build a Tweed Fender Princeton 5F2-A amp. It's a Mojotone kit, as I wanted to do something pretty easy to start.

I was looking for any advise, forums/websites/blogs, or mods that might work on my project. Thanks,

I put that amp circuit in my cabinet. The advise from the forum that I got can be found here.

I followed 5F6H's advice.

There is 2 things you could do with that kit.
1. Cut out the 500P bright cap or do it switchable.
2. Put in a little bigger coupling caps. i put in .1 in the Mojotone kit i build for a customer in january.
He is very satisfied with the tone..

The vintage tone control have one treble cut cap and one 500P treble bypass cap. Build the tone control without the 500P treble bypass cap / bright cap.
I cut out the bright cap.
Plus i installed 0.1 coupling caps instead of the 0.022 value there is in the original kit.
