Has anyone had any experience with the EHX B-9 or C-9 with harp? If so, your thoughts?

rbeetsme, didn't you say you'd tried a B-9? I know Mike Wezolowski did from facebook, but I coulda sworn I heard tell from you on it as well IIRC...

Both the B-9 and C-9 sound pretty decent for harp, but for my money it's gotta be the Organizer from Earthquaker Devices. Much better tracking, and the tone is huge -definitely worth checking out for anyone looking for an organ synth.

I have the B-9. Yeah, Mike didn't care for it. Like a lot of guitar effects, it's pretty easy to overdrive it with a high gain mic. I turn my mic down, try to concentrate on chords, fun to play with. Haven't tried the C-9, the B-9 really does sound like an organ.

I posted this on the Udderkuz03 EHX Pitchfork thread. It answers Raven's question so I'm copying it in here.

I experimented with the B9 for 2 weeks. Worked best with key of A and lower. Key of C and higher harps didn't work well. On all the harps I would get an unpleasant drone sound that would continue to annoy until you stopped playing. I tried it on three different amps with no noticeable improvement. I sent it back for refund less shipping. Probably good for guitar, but very limited with harp IMO.
