Haven't heard him mentioned here. Great energy. Sounds like Modern Blues Harmonica to me.

Matt, (don't know what part of Michigan you're in)did you see them at the Magic Stick when they were in Detroit last year? JD is a total mad man of front man. I'm a big fan of the Shack Shakers and they just happen to be from my "ancestral homelands" of Western Kentucky.

I'm from the Detroit area. I just heard of them recently. I've become a huge fan. In this song, he reminds me a little of Lester Butler.

Pretty cool but maybe he should leave his shirt on lol.

I actually bought his Bassman from him on e-bay last year and he referred me to this video as a sound sample.

I came on to share a clip of one of my fav songs he plays on and I'm glad to see there is some love for JD Wilkes on here. For the guys asking for more shirt-on, check out his other band, the Dirt Daubers. They are a little more blues and less out there than the Shack Shakers.
