Hey, I know this is a totally different space, but I know some of the SPAH board are here, so I thought it would be appropriate to bring to their attention that I can't seem to get an email through to the spah.org site. I think someone at SPAH needs to check their domain and their email server, something is dreadfully wrong. My emails to the info address are bouncing with a permanent failure.
I would like to speak to someone from SPAH, I need some questions answered and can't get anyone. Let me know how to reach you, please.

Thanks, for letting me know. Normally all those emails come to me. You can also send me email directly at _myname-AT-yahoo.com.
Substitute my first and last names (as one word) for myname, at-smbol for AT and a period for the dash.

Winslow, that explanation of your "encoded" email address is very confusing. There are two dashes and one underscore. As I am reading it, the question is, is the @ symbol to replace "-AT-" with both dashes? Also, did you mean that the period should replace the underscore? You might want to rephrase. :)

I just sent an email to what I *hope* is the correct address, Winslow. Thanks.
I tried sending an email to info AT spah dot org TWICE, and it came back with retry and failure notices both times. I can send you the raw message content if you like.

LadyArdRhi was able to contact me privately. Sorry my attempt at obfuscation was so, er, obfuscating.
The problem with putting your email in your profile is that anyone can see it whether or not they're a logged-in member. Email harvesters can get it and add to your spam load.

I highly recommend people obscuring their email a little when they post it here. The problem isn't humans harvesting your email, but bots. A person can still harvest your email, but economically it's not practical for spammers to do it that way whereas a bot program can scrape emails that are just typed in practically for free.
That goes for any website, not just ours. It's the same reason you should never send emails 'cc' too, although in that case you are exposing other people's emails.
