Just came across this on Fenderguru. The Baffle on a Bandmaster Reverb (and a Dual Showman Reverb as well) is tall and wide enough that one can mount a pair of 8" speaks in there, and basically wind up with the equivalent of a smaller, lighter, Pro Reverb! very few 8's out there today that can handle that kind of power effectively though....

Yes, that setup has been around for a while. Nice practice amp. Weber has the 8F150 and 8A150 both rated at 25W. I'll bet they could build these with the 50W VC. To tell you the truth, I think they used to build a 50W version because I think I have one in my 68 Bronco. I never really liked the reverb heads, they just look weird to me. Great amps though...BN

Pretty good alternative to a Vibrolux Reverb too if you ask me....or a Premier Twin-8R on steroids. LOL
Believe it or not, Peavey actually makes a stout little 25W 8". My Vypyr 15 had one. ----------

Goose, ever seen anyone try a 2X10 in a head like that? If they could fit, it'd open up a world of possibilities. Heck you really COULD convert a DSR into a combo. Plenty of 10's out there that can stand up to 100W output.
Jason, keep your eyes open for a Bandmaster Reverb. They pop up for very reasonable prices these days. ----------
