This video moves slowly until the head is finished and Mr. MC moves into the solo, around the :50 point. Then it gets very technical and creative and interesting. I know that funk/fusion isn't everybody's thing--on this forum, I mean--but I played this song in a band back in college, on guitar, and I don't know any harp player who does this stuff better.
But I'm sure somebody here does know somebody--Rachelle Plas?? Mike Turk?? Little Walter? Pat Martino??--who has this kind of melodic imagination and technical capacity on diatonic, and I urge you to post those videos here.

Thanks guys , it was a first take, I lost the one once for a second and had to reposition myself….The stupid camera on the computer won't record even ACOUSTIC harp without a little distortion…but I guess it's better to make something than nothing. Great harmonica! There seems to be more and more guys with melodic imagination and technical capacity on diatonic, partly thanks to Jason Ricci. But he is the only one who can play with that bluesy funkiness and rockmanship.
