Thanks for posting some of Carey Bell's chromatic harmonica, atty1chgo. He is a great, underrated chromatic harmonica player. I saw him up close when he came to our town as the harp player for Willie Dixon's band, in the late '70s. What a great band that was. Carey's chromatic playing stood out. I actually prefer his chromatic to his diatonic.

Here's a song by Carey's cousin Eddy Clearwater called "That's My Baby". Carey is on chromatic.



I love the precision he applies to his playing. I love the rhythmic vamp he plays when he's not soloing; but listen to the solo at 1:07. That is contained, controlled playing, yet full of passion at the same time. Little Mike of Little Mike and the Tornadoes is on second harmonica.
