Not necessarily what others tell you about your GREATness -

But, about what (you Believe) - that you are personally GREAT at...

This is not the moment to be shy, modest or "above this type of topic" !

thankfully my music career never made it over the ever struggling hump because if it did this would never have happened. I am most proud of the fully licensed bakery/pizzeria I created to teach high school special needs students entry level job skills and help place them in competitive jobs in the community. I share this with the hope, like a stone thrown in a still pond, that the ripples will carry to new places. As with my music, I am a 1 man show with this project and I am always in search of connecting with others in anyway that can add/share something positive to the cause. I can't wait for school to start up in few weeks! Walter

skydiving is a lot like the harmonica, you are just deflecting wind.
with the harmonica, the wind defects off the reeds
in skydiving, you are the reed.
the ones who are flying with their heads down, like a meat missile,
they are the new guard, the howard levy's, the jason ricci's.
the ones in the center are the "foundation" the little walters
the big walters the rod piazza's, the paul butterfields.

playing music 'live" the sound is that of a single cell organism,
if everyone is listening, or a cluster f#$%.
same thing in the air, if everyone is in the right place at the right time
doing what their supposed to. it's like shooting
a basket ball, and getting nothing but net.
but just one person, can screw up the whole ball of wax.

i get a lot of request when i play my harmonica

What makes you want to do the best you can? What makes you a better man? What makes you try again before too long? What keeps you standing strong? What makes you say the things you want to say, To make it a better day? It's the pride that makes you feel that you belong It's the pride that keeps you strong

Don't you think it's fascinating?

I'm a pretty good canoeist. Was raised around canoes, did out tripping with the scouts in eastern Ontario. Got a summer job with Camping Ontario as a canoe demo person. Spent an afternoon training in Algonquin park with Omer Stringer.

Totally changed my idea of what paddling was all about.
This is a German video but same canoe and style that I do.

Walk in to my house while there is a freshly dressed (no it is not wearing a dry cleaned suit and tie) squirrel cooking in the oven and you will swear I am a 5 star chef...That is until you start swallowing buckshot - i'll be docked a star or two, 3 stars, I can live with that ;)

Bluemoose, I helped my friend sell raffle tickets for the charity he was interning at. They were raffling off a fiberglass canoe. Tickets went for $20 a pop and by the end of the first day we'd raised a couple grand. (The guy who made the canoe was also at the show, displaying a carbon fiber canoe). I think people saw the price of that one and decided a $20 raffle would be easier on their marriage.

Anyway, when they had the drawing the guys wife picked up. They started announcing 'congratulations, you've won a $2000 fiberglass canoe' and she hung up. She thought it was a scam. Fortunately they decided to call back. The guy had heard from the other room and just about had a heart attack when he heard his wife hang up!

I'm a pretty good salesman. I wrote the routine for selling the tickets. My friend had piled all the info packets for the charity into the canoe. I made him take it out. I waited until a kid walked by and said, "Wanna see something cool?" (in a not creepy way). I had them pick up one end of the canoe with one pinky. The parents saw and started asking questions. Boom. Instant sale.

When I was a cub scout I lead my troop in candybar sales. I had my mom take me to the nearby college cafeteria and I worked the tables. I went to every table where a guy was sitting with a girl. Without fail he bought her a candy bar. I may not have understood hormones yet, but I sure knew how they made guys act.

Why the hell are you shooting a squirrel with a shotgun? An eye shot with a 22 is all that is required...

I suppose you may shoot your ducks dead center too...

I liked to hunt around gigantic oak trees so the shotgun was perfect..,takin a bite and finding a pellet was rare and swallowing a mouth full was meant to be a joke...Cooking them to perfection is no joke...The secret is using those clear cooking bags :)

J...is that a bomb strapped to your back?

Lyrics added to defeat the spammiester

No kiddin', I'm ready to fight
I've been lookin' for my baby all night
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom!, out go the lights

I thought I treated my baby fair
And now she's gettin' all in my hair
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom!, out go the lights

No kiddin', I'm ready to go
When I find her boy don't you know
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

I never been so mad before
When I found out she ain't mine no more
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

This will sound crazy, but I'm really good at adapting to new situations and taking on the qualities needed for a given situation to be successful. An old friend once noticed this and said, "you are the most capable chameleon I ever saw."

I think of it as an ability to see the heart of a matter, and letting the details sort themselves out. This is particularly good for human interactions, social situations, teaching, and for learning.

Frank, I once got a fortune cookie that said "You will be a great philanthropist late in life". What better news can you get? I mean, it says I'm going to live a long time and that I'll have enough money I'll feel like giving it away!

I am going to take the privilige to brag on Christelle Berthon...She has almost 14 million clicks on her You tube channel by sharing her harmonica playing - that is UNBELIEVABLE and proof that this instrument in the right hands is very attractive to a whole lot of people. So congratulations to Christelle for being one of the GREATEST ambassadors of the harmonica ever :)
