Hotel Deals: The Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel is offering hotel room with 1 King or 2 Queen beds for $95 for SPAH convention attendees. Rates are good for stays from 8/03 through 8/10 (or any time inbetween). To get the discount online, use this link-spah

If you prefer to reserve by phone, please call 1-800-468-3571 (do not call their main line) and let them know you will be at SPAH. SPAH's special $95 rate includes free parking (see bottom of the page for important parking details). There is also an early departure fee of $75 for last minute changes. Guests wishing to avoid a fee must advise the hotel at or before check-in. Also, the hotel recommends using a credit card for check-in, not a debit card. Holds on debit cards can take much longer to be returned to your account than credit card holds.

If you do run into issues with booking a room, parking or any other hotel-related issue, contact our Convention Director, Elizabeth Atkison: ema3395z@hotmail.com / 816-790-3724.

**Free Parking: Every time you enter the parking lot, you will pass through an automated meter and receive a ticket. When exiting, you pass through an automated meter but will need a pass to get through the gate. The SPAH registration desk and the SPAH table will have passes available for the exit meters.

Sorry to report that the hotel is sold out. They've already increased our room block twice and now they're maxed out.

Please don't inundate Elizabeth with phone calls; she's got a lot on her plate and won't be able to get what doesn't exist.

We're putting together a list of hotels in the immediate area with rates and what sort of transport connections they may have to the Renaissance.

Meanwhile, I suggest you ask around here, on harp-l, on Slidemeister, and on the SPAH Facebook page and (other FB harmonica pages) to see if anyone is willing to share their room.

Sorry for the inconvenience; I guess we could chalk it up to growing pains.

Winslow

This is really bad. I was looking forward to a nice relaxing time. Now I have the stress dealing with transportation and I'm not sure what extra cost will be at another Hotel. My plane ticket is non-refundable so now I'm stuck even if I decide not to go.

why not try expedia or hotels.com to see if you can get a better rate at the convention hotel?

Thank, for the offers. I have a friend that's coming also
He's a disabled Vet from the Kosovo conflict. Looks like I'll be at the flea bag it has rooms. Thanks Thievin.
SPAH hasn't put out a list yet but If wait for them I could be a worse. Maybe SPAH will give me a reduced convention rate. LOL
