Assuming that speakers actually need to be broken in, how long do you think it will take to break in a 10" Lil' Buddy? Does playing MP3s through the amp count? (Don't see why not).

Tried and tested method is the following - position your mic / guitar so that there is a slight feedback. Leave it overnight. Hey presto.

An easy option is to disconnect the speaker from the amp, and attach the speaker directly to one side of your home hi fi system. Listen to a good range of music over the weekend at generous volume, and the lil buddy will be "run in" or "broken in" . It can debated how much of a real difference it makes sonically, but it can't hurt. Alternatively, just start gigging with it, and you might noticed it sounds slightly better on the 3rd gig or so... again, nothing very dramatic to the ear.
