Taking off on Frank's post about influences in
peoples playing. It would be interesting in people's
playing how it manifested.

Emile

This is obvious first glance to be Butterfield.

Here is an swinging improvisation of mine on a chromatic...

Bill Clarke's chrome playing always made my ears stand at attention - so his stylistic approach is what I like and I gravitate towards that edge of the woods when I'm doin my thing :)

I hate to de-rail. I was planning on posting something relevant, but when I saw Franks post I HAVE to point out that with the right lighting, Frank can be super freakin creepy looking. We love you Frank... but for real... you're super freakin creepy lookin in that video.

hahahahahaha....Dface, with a hoodie and a pair of aviation glasses I look exactly like the un-bomber, honest to God :)

Without the disguise, I look like this...

And when I get cleaned up with the right lighting - I appear to look like this ;;

By the end of the night I look like this :)

Come morning this is the real me :(

And thank you fellers for being so kind with your encouragement!

Great topic Diggs...I thought about starting a thread similar to this - I hope others will participate :)

Absolutely knockout performances by Diggsblues and Frank. Just wow to both of you. Butterfield is my biggest influence as a harmonica player, and the player, I think, who shows up most in what I do. Sugar Blue, though, makes an appearance.

Thank you wheel.:-)
I heard a lot of Little Walter. 42 years ago I bought a Little Walter double album called Boss Blues Harmonica. I'm influenced by everyone I hear. Could be Sonny Boy or Frank or Kim Wilson or Moon Cat or maybe a student of mine plays something cool that he wasn't supposed to do but it works so I steal it.

Wow wheel! i just heard a few seconds of your version of LWs Off The Wall. You are Soooooo Good! Really freakin great! I am solidly impressed!

MP, I'm the same. That's why i didn't write anything in "influences" post because it would be the list of my favorite musicians :)
Thank you! I'm glad that you liked my "Off The Wall" version.
