Not a blues song, but a nice harp solo.

The harp solo as far as i can determine is uncredited, even on ARS's website.

It was Ronnie Hammond playing harp on that track. He was the replacement for the original lead singer of ARS-

I saw the band a few years ago, they were jamming their butts off, very impressive. You're right, Ronnie had the harp duties back in the day.

It seems that many former band members have passed on in the past few years. Ronnie Hammond in 2011, the original drummer Bob Nix in 2012, and the bass player Paul Goddard just passed this year. When I saw them, he was really thumping that bass line, especially on "Champagne Jam".

@ 1847 - Here is a clip of Jimmy Hall - with harp - on The Bobby Bare Show - the performance is at about 8:05, but the whole interview is worth watching. First part of the video is an interview with the late Toy Caldwell of The Marshall Tucker Band.

My apologies if I have posted this video before, it's just a great clip.

Nice clip . Have always been a big Tucker fan. Caldwell boys gone too soon. Toy had a very melodic style like Dickie Betts

No Harp but cool flute

no apologies necessary!

marshall tucker band,
i did not like country music until i saw them.

i grew up listening to black sabbath and blue oyster cult.
however the first concert i ever went to. was the marshall tucker band.
they came out with cowboy boots and cowboy hats.
i grew up in the city. hank williams was not consider cool. i was blown away. somehow managed to get a front row seat row A seat 1

who ever said a city boy can't have the country blues!

i had a room mate, her parents lived in "Napa"
she did not want them to see me drinking wine from a red plastic cup.

glad to oblige..... straight from the bottle it is.
they could tell right away that i was just trying to amuse myself
although, she was not to happy about it.

was ronnie hammond a decent harp player?
i have never seen or heard him.
some times in the studio, they get a session player to do someone's part.
bernard purdie, claims to have done sessions with the beatles

check out rosemary butler in the jimmy hall video.
she has sung with EVERYBODY!
