I own a Fender Champion 110 amp, and like the tone just fine. Plus it was paid for 15 years ago lol. In the past, playing with my band, when I needed more volume to be heard in the room, I just mic'ed the amp and that worked ok, albeit that seemed to be the subject of many tweaks and adjustments throughout the night to keep the sound level right. But I got the volume I needed and at the same time the amp served as my monitor so I didn't need to be loud in the band monitors, which was a plus.
Lately, the band having disbanded, I have been playing a lot at open jams, and it is often a pain to take the time to mic the amp and get and keep the levels properly adjusted. It would be easy if I could just use the headphone jack or ext. speaker jack as a line out straight to the PA system - no messing with mic stands and adjusting the mic position, just a clean cable connection. But using either of those jacks disables the amp's speakers.
So my question is, is there a way to rewire/adjust the amp so that I could use one of the jacks as a line out without disabling the speaker and without blowing the amp up ? If so, what is it, and could I do it myself with parts and tools readily available ?
Thanks in advance

Question for you. Does the internal speaker have a disconnect jack, or is it hardwired to the chassis of the amp? ----------

HawkeyeKane:
Think hardwired but will check this evening. Will report findings later.
Thanks

Very easy to do, I've incorporated this into most of my amps. http://www.rru.com/~meo/Guitar/Amps/Kalamazoo/Mods/ezlo.html

Hawkeye -- Speakers are hardwired in.
mrdon46 -- Thanks for info. Those proposals look scary complicated to me, but I will study them and see if I can demystify them through study.
