Mark, Wanted to let you know I am enjoying all 3 of my Workhorse harps. Very responsive, smooth bends, smooth octaves, effortless 6 OB. I am very pleased with what you have done! I really like them. You have done it again!!! These harps are Sweeeet. Thanks. orphan ----------

Aloha orphan!
Mahalo, always a pleasure. Glad you got the "horse"[s] in time for the rodeo. :-)

Some variations but that's basically my method. On a sp20 at least. Can't do it like that on a hohner sandwich as you don't have clearance for the bolt head. I put the bolt in from on top of the reed and cut the other side flush. Torquing the bolt calls for judgement; don't want to strip that new brass thread! But they seem to stay done up. Some time I'll get around to giving your rivet recycling method a pop, Mark

Bee,Yes, not enough real estate on MB types to accept screws. harpwrench suggested once to "cut a relief in comb" I don't like to cut into my MB combs. If I do I use dave paynes rotary tool. It's like a mini Dremel or dentist tool.
I prefer my method above in all situs. but I'm good at it. it's not for everyone. I just noticed my video has about 2,200 views. Me happy!!! have a good day ---------- Affordable Reed Replacement Marks Harmonica Tune-up
