Blues Traveler is play in June in my hometown. I was wondering if anyone had their contact info because frankly I think it'd be great PR if they let me come on for Carolina Blues. I know it's a long shot but honestly its worth asking.

All you need is to be a 13 year old girl in South Dakota. If you show interest they will find you, and give you beer.

I was fortunate to sit in with them about a year ago. I had met John before and we share two mutual friends. It took a lot of leg work to get a hold of him, even with friends vouching and communicating with him. It was not my first attempt and trying to meet up with him. In fact, I never asked to sit in. I had only inquired about visiting during sound check.

I had direct communication with JP and BT's management - both of which spent time researching music I had online. John was able to speak specifically to a couple of tunes I have posted online, and he invited me to sit in. Like I said, I never asked to sit in - I was invited.

They had a very structured and specific set of expectations for how the whole thing would play out from where I should be when to how the visit and rehearsal on the bus would go to when I was to report back. There was even an explanation of getting on and off stage and how to hang out back stage after the show. Very impressive and effective.

John and the tour manager were super super nice. I couldn't have been more impressed.
