Had a BLAST today. Decided to finally get out and play with actual people. Stumbled upon a guitarist and drummer online, and we ended up hitting it off and doing a solid 3hour jam.
we decided on doing an open MIC night to see what others think, as the other two are looming for an actual band, and sit in at open MIC nights here alot.
have another group im checking out tomorrow, which will be fun. Older guys, so the feel should be little more real blues, as oppose to what we ended up doing.

any tips on hoe to find more people to sit in with, because I can totally see how this improves playing, ended up catching a few new licks just in one jam.

Busk.

I met my first guitarist at a blues jam. I saw him busking one day and he let me sit in with him for a few songs. We became regular partners and I met my next busking/band partner while busking with the first guy. I also met a bluegrass player who invited me to sit in with his band. I had a standing invitation to play with them at their weekly residency which I went to after busking. I also got invited by some young poets to play at their slam.

Be prepared and get out where people are playing. Coffee shops. maybe retirement homes. Small restaurants and clubs. Watch local musician classifieds.

You have already begun a network, keep it going!
