Another skilled guy here.
I just know he is scandinavian and has 5 vids on youtube, worth to listen to.
Really relaxed, playing difficult pieces, ultimately sure of himself...but only for less than five years harping!!!
Try to listen to his funky harp with special effects.

1st vid is worth shaking the dust bunnies out of the old B harp for a end of the day play-a-long.

Larry the Iceman ain't wrong very often, but I'd have to civilly disagree that he is a good player:)

I have to agree with Iceman. This fella has his chops and tastes together. I play "Red Clay" myself and this version smokes something fierce.

I absolutely love what he does. The only possible critique I'd offer to that second (funk) video is that he doesn't vary his note-length much. I think the solo would be stronger, less noodle-y, if he threw in a long soaring (or fading) note. I'm talking about the first 1:15; I haven't listened past that point.

But it's all a matter of taste. He's got a great melodic imagination, distinctive sound (even discounting the sound processing; the sound per se is more evident on the first clip, which I also love), and great sense of funk-swing. Five stars.

I've never seen anyone hold a harp the way he does in that first vid! I was scared that he was gonna drop it, especially when he really started going fast! Very unusual technique, but clearly not hampering him at all. That's one of the rare examples that I know of where playing fast was done very musically and melodically. What I mean is that he's not just playing box patterns up at the high end of the harp (a la Popper), but is instead playing very jazzy runs. In fact, his whole style has me thinking of 1920's Jazz trumpet. I'm listening to a lot of that early jazz stuff at the moment, and he's got the speed + musicality combo that those cats had! Cool stuff, and i'll look forward to seeing more of him...

Some of his best phrases come after 2:15 in the funk vid.

This guy has a very bright future...
