Yes indeed. Go Nic & the band!

This is a video from the performance this summer that got them into the competition:

Watch out for a young Mississippian named Mr. Sipp. He is going to make trouble for people at the finals:

Yep, Bad Brad & The Fat Cats w/ Nic Clark made the finals at IBC!!!! They play today at the Orpheum Theater. By random draw they will be playing first, at around noon Memphis time.

1847, Wet Willy's was the venue for their semi-finals round appearance. The finals are always at the Orpheum.

On the way to the finals they faced some very good bands, like the Rockin' Jake band and the Alex Wilson band w/ Jim Liban. Nic Clark has been to the IBC twice and made the finals both times. That tells you something about him.

Sadly, Tony Smith got edged out for the finals in the Solo/Duo division. But he impressed a LOT of people with his harp playing and represented the Sun Coast Blues Society very well. Tony is da MAN.

Bummer - on a good note, now he can go relax and support Nic, he'll probbally be in the front row rooting Bad Brad & the Fatcats to victory :)

Is Nico Toussaint beatable? Maybe Tony will be voting for them...

You would want it back after the first gig, that "nut" is way more important, or maybe I have my priorites backwards? :)

Good luck to Nic and the band! (Good luck to our local Wendy DeWitt in the solo/duo category too, though no harp in that band....)
