Guys if you want to play a big show and do something for a very good cause, I suggest getting involved with the Marines and Toys for Tots in your area.
This is our fourth year in a row in northeast TN and we call it Blues Christmas. It has grown from one night to two with four bands playing.
Sure it is about getting toys to children that would not have anything otherwise, but it has also been a big shot in the arm for the local blues scene. We expect capacity crowds both nights.
When the Marines step up in their dress uniforms to accept several large boxes of toys you can just feel you are a part of something special.
It may be a little late this year but plan on it for next year. This is one of the rare charities that would prefer NOT to get money. 100% of charitable donations go to the cause. How many charities can you say that about?
