Hello everyone!!
My harmonica club is meeting tonight and our Topic is Octave playing. Anyone know of a good chart that just shows available Octaves on the harp? maybe one that's color coded or in some other way easy to read for everyone? I would make one but I don't have time today. our meeting is in less than 6 hours and I'll be working on harps until 5.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Adam, Look in my profile for the link to "harp tab for chromatic scales in 12 positions". The tables are lined up to show the octaves pretty clearly. You have to look for the ones that make sense in the position you choose, but they are pretty easy to spot. ----------

Turns out my previous post of that as a thread on this forum, with a color coded chart for octaves on a C harp, has broken links to the jpg. However, you can find it on facebook at "Jakarta River Blues", in the photos (timeline photos). Also, hopefully the link here works:
Made it myself, taken from numerous sources, welcome to share it from Jakarta River Blues Band.

Yes, isn't an 'ordinary note chart' enough? It can be kind of pedagogic to have everyone 'find-and-mark' the octaves for themselves? Bring coloured markers or crayons! :) ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
