Have recently been on our annual 'Walkabout' visiting some of our outback areas 500 - 1000 miles West of where we live. Areas we visited ranged from desert to rain forest. One of the places we visited was Carnarvon National Park. One of the walks/climbs takes us to a spot called the Amphitheatre which is an opening in the cliff face that upon entry opens to a huge ca 25m x 25m cave with only a small opening at the top. During our wet season the cave is flooded and not accessible but there is a natural watercourse through the cave which is fringed with moss gardens and ferns. It is a beautiful place, that because of its location and difficult access, is very moving and spiritual. My impromptu performance was squeezed in between others entering and leaving. The acoustics are incredible and in fact any sound is greatly amplified. It is one of my favourite places on the planet and my pictures/videos don't really do it justice as it is difficult to capture the grandeur of the place.I play Amazing Grace on a Seydel Concerto Octave harp in 1st & then a Suzuki Bluesmaster in 2nd. It is recorded on a Sony Bloggie.

Aussiesucker....once again you have put together something different and special. I would like to have visited Australia, but at this point it looks like it's not gonna happen. Thanks for sharing this stuff.

Thanks FMWoodeye. The way our dollar is sinking it will soon be a lot easier for tourists to visit Oz.

Very enjoyable all round Aussie. Wow what an amazing looking place. You chose a very suitable song to play there. Liked the way you switched octaves.

It looks like harp players paradise!
