Are there any harpers from South Africa on the forum?
It's not a popular instrument here in SA, so finding guys to jam with or learn from is few and far between.

Don´t know about here but on Harp-l there is at least one very sympathetic guy from RSA.

There is only one pin in South Africa on the forum map, but that's only got a fraction of the members on it. (And I think Elwood was just visiting and has returned home). Feel free to put a pin in the map. Be careful though, for some reason every couple months someone manages to accidentally save over the name of the map with their name. :)

@nacoran and Jared: Actually, Murray (Elwood) was just visiting the UK, and has returned home to SA. I'm still friends with him on Facebook, and he seems to be concentrating his time and efforts on his social activism work, although he has not given up playing harp. I think he occasionally plays with a band called "Sixgun Gospel" in Cape Town... I'm not sure if you get to Cape Town much, Jared, but Murray's a really nice dude, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind talking some harp!

Yeah Cape Town is 30 minutes away. I've heard of the band numerous times. I should get to their gigs.
