Since we'll be in St. L. for a day or 2 we've found a couple of jams to possibly hit tomorrow night. One is at Gramophone on Manchester, one is later at Broadway Oyster bar. If you're close by come on down!

Hey Jbone,

I was in St. Louis last week. I ate at Ms. Piggys out on Page ave. out by the airport. Besides having great BBQ (I recommend the St. Louis pork steak), they have a jazz pianist that plays there.

He was very amiable to someone sitting in, and we entertained the customers and employees for about an hour and a half. If you go, be prepared for long jazz improv style songs. We must have riffed on Watermelon man for 15 minutes.

I don't know if he plays every day, or if that is anything that interests you, I figured I'd give you a heads up just in case.

We got into ST. L. late afternoon and did some exploring, then chilled for a while at the hotel just off downtown. then we headed for the Grove area, a strip of nightclubs a few miles west. Nice area. Not a lot going on on a Monday but we Found the Gramophone and walked into a nearly empty joint. Talked with the barkeep and then the jam host, who was thrilled to have a duo show up. He immediately put us on stage for several songs and the place began to fill up with other jammers and their friends. We were pretty well received.
Last night we went to the Peabody Opera House and caught Bob Dylan and his band on the Neverending Tour. Good show. Very cramped seating but it was worth it once to see a living legend and icon like Bob.

Today we rolled out before the possible snow hit. Yes, SNOW.
It was a great 3 day jaunt.
