If you are around the Denver area this weekend we have a blues harp workshop coming up this Sunday with Ronnie Shellist. It is presented by the Mile High Blues Society. Go to the MHBS Website store to buy tickets, or you can pay at the door at Ziggies. The workshop will be this Sunday, Mar 10, from 4pm to 6pm. Hope to see y'all there!

The ticket price is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.

(Yes, I know we misspelled "High" on the poster. Oh well...)

This happens today at Ziggies in Denver. Still a few seats left.

After the harp workshop is the big bad official Mile High Blues Society Jam where you get to try out all your cool new chops. If you are are near Denver the sun is shinin' bright and the snow is melting. It's gonna be a great day for blues.

Any chance this may be made available to other members on a video format if we pay the $20 dollar fee?
(assuming the seminar was video taped)

CarlA, I did not video the entire workshop. But Ronnie has live online instruction at his website -- http://www.harmonica123.com/ -- for only $35 per month. It is a pretty remarkable way to take live lessons from a master.

The workshop was a huge success. We plan to make it a regular presentation by the Mile High Blues Society, with Ronnie teaching workshops perhaps as frequently as every month.

One of the players who attended the workshop was a new transplant from the Boston area named Gregg MacKenzie. Do any of you know him? What a monster player. I have video of him and Nic Clark and Ronnie Shellist together in the same jam set, cutting heads and kicking ass. Amazing stuff.
