I've noticed that the Harp Commander 4 is coming soon but it seems that all of the earlier models have been discontinued. I'd like to purchase a second model of either Harp Commander 1,2 or 3 if anyone has one that they'd like to offload.

cheers, Nic

I heard an HC5 is coming out.

I'd love to own a Harp Commander 4

I love my HC Four and Ron Holmes is working furiously on the HC Five. It will have both XLR and 1/4" inputs to accomodate whatever mic you use...And another input to handle a guitar or other instrument for those who need it. Ron is a great guy to work with!

While the new HC5 sounds enticing, I'd still love to get my hands on an HC4. Ron has told me that henceforth, he'll be making all HC's with the option of rackmounts. That being the case, I think an ideal travel-light rig would be a Four in a small rack case with a Peavey Valverb for effects. Sadly, I think acquiring an HC4 would prove easier these days than a Valverb. NO ONE wants to let go of them any more, at least for a reasonable price.

@ HawkeyeKane - I agree... I really only need a HC4.

The extra input on the HC5 intrigues me though.

But I really only need the impedance matching of the highz and lowz mics into a PA (i use a high & low for different songs) with the dual output for an amp onstage monitor and the fx loop.

I think Ron is trying to get the HC5 out soon. If you go to holmeseng.com there's a link for email contact. Ask him to put you on his mailing list. He's sending out updates on his progress with the HC5. I'm using my HC4 as my "amp" with an RP255 [w/Richard's patches] in the effects loop for delay, reverb and other effects. It sounds great! I've sold one great harp specific amp and my 4x10 1960 Fender Concert just sits at home now. I haven't used an amp in the last year.
All the best,
Jay
