A while ago, I read a post by a forum member who was over the moon after having harps serviced by MP. Apparently, Mark not only replaced reeds but "added a little extra mojo" to the harps and they became that person's "go-to" harps. I remember that post very well because it struck a chord with me. I had been working on harps for myself but never gave serious thought to offering the service to others. The fact that Mark went the extra mile inspired me. I wanted to do that too!

I have been offering custom harps and service locally and recently started advertising across Canada with excellent response. I have been keeping very busy working on harps.

I put together a website with the details of my harmonica services. harp.andrewzajac.ca. I plan on adding some other services eventually, too.

Like the other harmonica/harmonica-service providers on the forum, I want to build long-term relationships based on customer satisfaction instead of making a quick buck.

That was me. MP did a very nice job on my harps. They played better than I remember them playing after they were returned to me and his service wasn't very expensive.

Good luck on your enterprise. I like capitalism.

Andrew,

While googling around, trying to determine what screws I needed/wanted to rebuild the, ~20 something, nailed together MB's, 260's, 280's, 365's, etc. that I have accumulated over the years - was it gonna be #56 or #72 or what?? - I came across one of your old posts.

M2x10's. - You sounded like a metric man who knows his stuff. My box of screws & nuts, drill bits & taps, from McMaster Carr arrived Friday.

Thanks for the open exchange of information. MP is very good about that too. Neither of you need worry, for at least 10 years, that I might ever become a competitor, but I certainly need to learn more about my harps. Good luck in your venture.

Cool! :)

I'm having a little problem with the customizers list. I seem to be running up against the character limit with all the HTML. I'll figure out a better way to host it and add you. (It may be as simple as trimming some of the header or deleting Todd P.'s post so that I have a second post in a row to post them in, but I'd like a more permanent fix. Maybe I'll post it as a Dropbox file. That would give me a lot more room and I could include quick descriptions of what services each person offers.)
