Can anyone identify what kind of harmonica Rice Miller is playing during the intro and solo to this song? It sounds like a diatonic but there is a weird "chromatic slide" note occurring within his phrasing. He is doing some bending here, but is relying on this slide quiet a bit. I don't think that its a Chromatic harmonica, but I could be wrong.

Sounds like a Koch-style chromatic to me. I hadn't heard this track in a while. I'm gonna have to steal it.

According to Pat Missin it is a Richter tend chromatic style 10 hole harp like a Koch.
I never really picked on that in all they years I've heard that tune.

OOh, that's cool. I had not thought about Koch 10 holes in a while. I've got a old, old G with a cracked up comb. Anybody know of an acrylic comb maker who does these?

I wonder if one of Chris Reynold's 260 acrylic combs would work?

According to the folks over at Slidemeister a 260 comb will fit on a Koch. I'd suggest asking Chris for confirmation of that before ordering one though.
