I'm looking to get a guitar and start taking some lessons. My question concerns buying a guitar... are the Chinese made Fenders okay? I found a Telecaster with P-90's that I liked but I fear that it may not last as long as a Mexico-made or Amercian-made guitar.

Not being a good guitarist at all, will I even notice a difference? or will there be an appreciable difference in tone?

Thanks,

Bill

The Fender "Classic Vibe" series is awesome (I like the blonde tele) and a lot of well respected guitarist play them. For around $350.00 they're great right out of the box but you can always upgrade the pickups and hardware later if you choose (there's really no need to). Go down to your local music store and A/B it against any other guitar in the store. You won't be disappointed. Good luck in your new venture.
