What did ya get? I gifted myself the little vintage Marvel amp for $50. When I was first getting really serious about harp back in the 70's my friends often gave me harps or harp-related stuff for Christmas. They gave me Echo harps, Vest Pocket harps, melodicas, even one of those giant Marine Bands you see above the harp display in music stores.
My wife gave me an ipod. Never had one. My daughter gave me a vintage low c 12 hole Hohner Marine band. I have a handful of these, but hers plays better than all of them. Tried to buy myself another Kendrick amp, but the guy won't ship.
The only thing truly harmonica related I got was my new tattoo which is technially a birthday present(1/1) a few days early. See this thread for pics http://www.modernbluesharmonica.com/board/board_topic/5560960/4991198.htm
However I did get a banjo from my Fiance for Xmas. One of the current three remaining instruments on my to learn list. Which means its time to find some more to add :) ukulele and mountain dulcimer are the last two currently on the list.
My bandleader bought me an Astatic MC-564-1 ceramic element for my JT30, and he's also giving the shell a new custom paint job with his autobody experience and techniques. I'll post pictures when it comes together. ----------
I bought this '60s transistor radio modified into a busking amp. Thought I'd give it to my guitar player son but it sounds pretty good with a harp. And looks very cool!
A harp case, inexpensive harp mic and a Bb Manji. The harp case came from the in-laws who usually only buy me ties and shirts for work.

I finally got my new/old amp back from the tech on Saturday, so I guess I'll say I got an Epiphone Devon Tremolo. Also a Hetrick bamboo comb for Lee Oskars, and one of Scott's tuning caps.

A Suzuki Manji in A and Cross Harp Songbook by Jon Gidnick. Already sat down with the Manji and I'm very impressed, light and easy to play! I'm gonna enjoy this one. ---------- Rob Six Eight Time
A bottle of red wine. My sister didnt buy me a harp book, and gave me a bottle of plonk instead. Like, she wanted to buy me a harp book, but couldn't decide which, so went for the booze. I did the same right back at her. We didn't know which wine each other favoured either, but it won't go to waste, ----------
I got a Seydel solist pro in g and a subscription Dave Barrett's site. The Solist is still in the mail. My wife let me pick so I thought I'd try that out. ---------- Brad
I got a $50 Visa gift card from my neighbor...so I think I may go ahead and use it to get that Deuce and a Quarter I've been wanting for so long now that they're being stocked at MF again. ----------
Don't know if this really counts. But as a early Christmas present to myself I got three Golden Melody harps about a week before Christmas. I also downloaded a free strobe tuning app for my smartphone :-)
item: B-Rads fit in Hohners XO/ MBD/ T-Bird zippered pouches.

nothing harp related. which is really weird. but i'm in a place where i couldn't think of anything i needed. i guess it's a good thing that my rig is complete. but it still feels weird.
.....a Meinl foot tambourine....an inexpensive desk magnifying lamp for harp work......a cheap drum pedal for the cajon I'm gonna get( a nice one too, as 'she' got herself an iPad)....and one of those cheap Amazon Bb GM's.... ---------- One of Rubes's bands, DadsinSpace-MySpace Old Man Rubes at Reverbnation
My brother gave me a black fedora….you know every up and coming bluesman needs one….I think I have some dark glasses somewhere.
He also gave me a tin sign for my woodshed (garage) that looks like circa 1950-60s with a well-endowed woman sitting on a car. The sign says “What happens in the garage stays in the garage”. I am not sure what he is trying to tell me with this!
Secret Santa from work gave me a Hohner folding wallet- like case that holds 7 harps….this is rather nice and should be good for jams.
I also picked out a Suzuki Promaster in Bb as part of a rebate of larger musical purchase.
Got my Vita mix seems like 20 years ago - you get what you pay for - still going strong after creating many a strange concoctions :) It is powerful enough to mix old harmonicas into a delicious soup...

the B-Rad i got had this black patina-electroplating? on the covers and it was wearing off and looked like hell.. It's an earlier B-Rad (serial # 000858) so..i took some 800 grit wool; it is not steel but some composite material, and it took the black stuff right off the covers so now it has a burnished nickel/almost chrome look to it. the laser etching logo etc. remained completely intact. you can polish Corian or jewelry w/ this wool stuff.
i took it to the comb too. i think the comb is Dymonwood. it is the most interesting shaped comb i've ever seen- maybe in the history of diatonic harmonica. i like the way you can only remove one cover plate at a time too. sometimes you only need to adjust one reed plate.
if you cup the harp wierdly- like i do- the right side vent wah wahs nicely. kudzu cups sorta like me and i think he has a vid on how he holds his harp and mic.
Ditto NICE! on timeistight tuner/metronome/recorder. purty cool. wonder how well it records. ---------- MP affordable reed replacement and repairs.

Well, I did get this watch. I wouldn't mention it, but a repro 1930s dashtronic watch is pretty badass.
