Yes and NO,Dobro is a name of a brand and also is a type of resonator that uses a spider bridge,The are alot of times square neck and played on the lap,Mine is a Doboro style with a round neck played like a normal guitar,
They also have steel bodies National guitars that are resonators that use a different type of resonator,they are the most preferred one for blues.
